On-Demand Webinar: A Post-Fall Review – Is Your Medical Record Complete?

Resident falls, especially those resulting in injury, cost facility operators millions of dollars every year in adverse survey outcomes and litigation. 

During this 60-minute webinar, nurse leaders will gain insight into areas of the medical record to review post-fall, how to update the medical record, as well as some ways to analyze the facility’s fall system that may mitigate risk for falls in the future.

After participating in this session, learners will be able to:

• Apply steps to conduct a thorough post-fall review
• Examine areas of the medical record to determine if the standard of care was followed pre- and post-fall
• Implement improvements to mitigate fall risk

1.0 contact hour will be awarded for this continuing nursing education activity. Learners must view at least 80% of the entire video and complete the associated evaluation to receive the contact hours. No partial credit will be awarded. Contact hours will be awarded for this activity until August 19, 2024.
