On-Demand Webinar: Development of an Effective Informal Dispute Resolution

Recorded On: 09/15/2021

  • Registration Closed

A facility received their 2567 for the most recent survey and there are five “G” level citations. The director of nursing services fears if she disputes them, the facility may receive these citations at a higher scope and severity. This is a common concern among nurse leaders, yet the informal dispute resolution (IDR) process is intended to allow a facility the opportunity to refute regulatory survey findings.

During this 60-minute webinar, we will discuss the impact that survey deficiencies have on a facility’s Five-Star Quality Rating and provide information and resources on how and why a facility might want to consider conducting an IDR.

After participating in this session, learners will be able to:

  • Explain how survey points impact a facility’s overall Five Star rating
  • Discuss what documentation is needed for a successful IDR
  • Identify the steps in the IDR process

1.0 contact hour will be awarded for this continuing nursing education activity.
