Join AAPACN curriculum development specialists, Jessie McGill, RN, RAC-MT, RAC-MTA, and Alexis Roam, MSN, RN-BC, DNS-CT, QCP, for a fresh approach to manage falls and prevent injuries that is practical, applicable, and sustainable. This 60-minute webinar will explain MDS coding for falls and how the fall QMs are calculated. Participants will also be introduced to current evidence-based practices and how to build the necessary clinical capacity to manage falls and prevent injuries more effectively.

After participating in this session, learners will be able to:

  • Apply evidence-based practices to successfully manage falls and prevent injuries
  • Utilize resident-level and system-level fall data and translate it into information that can be used in fall management Implement methods to develop the nurses’ skills to effectively identify fall risks, implement preventative measures, and provide post-fall care

1.0 contact hour will be awarded for this continuing nursing education activity. Learners must view at least 80% of the entire video and complete the associated evaluation to receive the contact hours. No partial credit will be awarded.
