On-Demand Webinar: FY 2022 SNF PPS Final Rule
Recorded On: 09/02/2021
In Late July, CMS released the Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Prospective Payment System (PPS) Final Rule for Fiscal Year (FY) 2022, which postponed the PDPM parity adjustments until the next rulemaking cycle, but also finalized most other proposals without modifications. From changes to the ICD-10 mapping file for the primary clinical category to the addition of two new measures in the SNF Quality Report Program (QRP), there is still a lot SNF leadership and nurse assessment coordinators need to be informed on.
During this 60-minute session, AAPACN curriculum development specialist, Jessie McGill, RN, RAC-MT, RAC-MTA, will highlight the need-to-know items of the Final Rule and dive into the two new SNF QRP measures.
After participating in this session, learners will be able to:
- Understand key changes to the ICD-10 mapping file for the FY 2022 updates
- Identify the numerators, denominators, covariates, and exclusions of the two new SNF QRP measures
- Recognize how failure to report on the COVID-19 Vaccination Measure could potentially result in a 2% decrease to the facility’s annual payment update (APU) for Medicare
