Upon completion of MDS 3.0 Coding for OBRA and PPS Part 1, the learner will be able to:
- Describe the relationship between the purpose of the MDS and the types of questions that appear on the MDS
- State the intent of select MDS items
- Code select items of the MDS accurately
- Discuss the relationship of accurate MDS coding to ensuring quality care, appropriate reimbursement, accurate publicly reported information, and survey compliance
