The Resident Assessment Coordinator-Certified Advanced (RAC-CTA®) program is an advanced certification for clinical reimbursement leaders who are current RAC-CT holders. This workshop provides advanced principles of clinical reimbursement, Medicare program compliance and integrity, RAI/MDS program integrity, leadership, ethical practice, managing medical review, accurate ICD-10 diagnosis coding, advanced strategies for payment oversight, and improving a facility’s quality measurement in all CMS quality programs. Whether you are a clinical reimbursement specialist in a regional, state, or national consultant, or are a professional in any aspect of MDS and Medicare compliance and oversight, this program will help you excel as a reimbursement leader. You must hold and maintain a current RAC-CT to qualify to take this workshop and to earn and hold the credential.
Your registration includes three days of in-person instruction from a Master Teacher covering the ten courses of the RAC-CTA program, access to the online materials used during the workshop, and access to the ten certification exams required to earn the credential.

Christine is the Appeals & Denials Management Coordinator for Five Star Senior Living. Ms. Twombly is a certified gerontological nurse, a certified resident assessment coordinator (RAC-CT), a certified AANAC master teacher, a licensed health care risk manager (LHRM), and is certified in healthcare compliance (CHC).
Christine has more than 28 years of experience in post-acute care, including many years of hands-on experience with MDS assessments and related care planning. She has worked under Medicare PPS for skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) since its inception. She has extensive experience working with SNFs to conduct Medicare documentation and billing compliance assessments and providing assistance with third-party medical review and the appeals process.
