The Resident Assessment Coordinator-Certified Advanced (RAC-CTA®) program is an advanced certification for clinical reimbursement leaders who are current RAC-CT holders. This workshop provides advanced principles of clinical reimbursement, Medicare program compliance and integrity, RAI/MDS program integrity, leadership, ethical practice, managing medical review, accurate ICD-10 diagnosis coding, advanced strategies for payment oversight, and improving a facility’s quality measurement in all CMS quality programs. Whether you are a clinical reimbursement specialist in a regional, state, or national consultant, or are a professional in any aspect of MDS and Medicare compliance and oversight, this program will help you excel as a reimbursement leader. You must hold and maintain a current RAC-CT to qualify to take this workshop and to earn and hold the credential.
Your registration includes four days of online instruction from a Master Teacher covering the ten courses of the RAC-CTA program, access to the online materials used during the workshop, and access to the ten certification exams required to earn the credential.

Melanie has over 25 years of experience in long-term care and has held a variety of positions. She currently holds the position of Director of Quality Initiatives with Zimmet Healthcare Consultants. She is now a Master teacher for both the RAC-CT and Advanced courses and is a Certified QAPI Professional. Melanie has consulted for several long-term care facilities and has excellent results with improving RAI systems. She has provided educational programs on topics such as PDPM, nursing documentation, MDS coding, and Quality Measures. She is regarded as an inspiring team leader with exceptional analytical and communication abilities. Melanie is passionate about person-centered care and resident advocacy.
