DNS Fundamentals On-Demand Workshop and Tools Package

DNS Fundamentals is a comprehensive six-module on-demand workshop designed to provide the new DNS with the foundational leadership and management knowledge to succeed in the role. The program also includes 23 tools to help the DNS perform responsibilities more efficiently. Whether you’re new to the DNS role or new to post-acute care, DNS Fundamentals will help you perform the DNS job duties skillfully and with confidence. Modules focus on the following:

• The Role and Responsibilities of the DNS in LTPAC
• Clinical Excellence
• Overview of the Regulatory and Survey Process
• Leading Clinical Improvement
• Basic Staffing and Human Resources Management
• Overview of Business Operations of the Nursing Department

5.0 contact hours will be awarded for this continuing nursing education activity. Learners must view at least 80% of each video and complete the associated evaluation to receive the contact hours. No partial credit will be awarded. Contact hours will be awarded for this activity until October 6, 2026.
