Training, training, training! There has been a wave of MDS trainings for the new items coming this October from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the American Association of Post-Acute Care Nursing (AAPACN), and others. AAPACN wants to ensure nurse assessment coordinators (NACs) are prepared and that all their questions are answered prior to implementation of the MDS changes.

During this 60-minute webinar, AAPACN curriculum development specialists, Jessie McGill, RN, BSN, RAC-MT, RAC-MTA, and Jennifer LaBay, RN, RAC-MT, RAC-MTA, QCP, CRC, review some early clarifications received from CMS about the new and revised MDS items and provide an extended live question and answer session.

After participating in this session, learners will be able to:

  • Understand clarifications from CMS related to MDS changes effective Oct. 1, 2023
  • Confidently implement the new MDS items into the MDS 3.0/RAI process in their facility
