On-Demand Webinar: New Year, New Rules - How to Hold MCOs Accountable

The Medicare Advantage (MA) Final Rule for Contract Year (CY) 2024 helped to achieve significant progress to address and correct widespread managed care denials for coverage and payment. New requirements for managed care organizations (MCOs) are fully effective Jan. 1, 2024.This is new territory for providers and MCOs alike. Providers should feel empowered to hold MCOs accountable to this new set of rules.  

During this 60-minute webinar, Maureen McCarthy, RN, BS, RAC-MT, QCP-MT, DNS-MT, RAC-MTA, will help fortify the provider’s knowledge of new requirements for MCOs and supply best practice solutions for coordination and resolution of denials.

After participating in this session, learners will be able to:

• Recognize new requirements for MCOs published in the MA Final Rule
• Utilize best practices for addressing denied care and cite new requirements
• Implement lessons learned from discussion of real-world successes and challenges providers have encountered 

1.0 contact hour will be awarded for this continuing nursing education activity.
