Certification Package: QAPI Certified Professional (QCP)
The QAPI Certified Professional (QCP) education and certification program is intended for members of the QAPI/QAA committee and covers all aspects of QAPI from theory to application-based strategies. To earn the QCP certification, candidates must:
- Have the equivalent of two years of full-time healthcare experience, preferably in long-term or post-acute care leadership or quality improvement
- Actively participate in a QAPI program or serve as a member of a QAA committee
- Pass the QCP certification exam with a score of 80% or better
There are 3 exam attempts to pass. Recertification is required every four years.

Failure to recertify before your certification expiration date may result in permanent deletion of all data pertaining to the certification, including but not limited to certification-related earnings, enrollments, course progress, and exam results. Your certification expiration date can be found on your learner dashboard.
AAPACN’s learning management system is designed to reset progress data when recertification requirements are unmet, allowing learners to restart the certification process. Note: If your certification is expired, re-enrolling in the certification will reset previous certification progress. Be sure to re-enroll before restarting the courses.
