RAC-CT Course - MDS 3.0 Coding for OBRA and PPS, Part 1

Upon completion of MDS 3.0 Coding for OBRA and PPS Part 1, the learner will be able to:

  • Describe the relationship between the purpose of the MDS and the types of questions that appear on the MDS
  • State the intent of select MDS items
  • Code select items of the MDS accurately
  • Discuss the relationship of accurate MDS coding to ensuring quality care, appropriate reimbursement, accurate publicly reported information, and survey compliance
